The Brief

RICH-MEDIA ADVERTISING

We were commissioned by Disney XD to design, build and deliver a high impact richmedia campaign for the launch in the UK, Greece and Middle-East of Star Wars Rebels, the animated television series produced by Lucasfilm and Lucasfilm Animation. Star Wars Rebels is set fourteen years after Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and five years before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The aim of the campaign was to educate the audience and drive tune to the premiere feature length episode.

Key objective

  • To deliver a campaign that would create disruption, excite the target audience, and turn Dads into Star Wars advocates – that in turn would drive tune for the premiere 45 minute special.

The Solution

The campaign introduced Star Wars Rebels to 8 to 12 years olds and also had to appeal to ‘Dads’, this would help create advocacy based on historic knowledge of the Star Wars franchise.

The wide selection of units delivered animated action sequences, videos, takeovers and character biographies, these all helped to tell the story, create a knowledge base and drive tune in.
